First Few Days in Phoenix
I arrived in Phoenix last Thursday afternoon, although it feels like I've been here for weeks since every day has been full of activities. My aunt and uncle have graciously given me one of the bedrooms to stay in, and it feels very homey here. Everyone says I came to Arizona at the right time, as it's finally gotten 'cooler' (meaning high 90s instead of 100s). I spent most of Friday unpacking and organizing my stuff. Then Uncle Peter and I went to the airport to pick up Madelina and Julien. It's been so great hanging out with them in Phoenix these last few days! On Sunday, we had 15 people at the church service in our living room, and Madelina and I gave our testimonies (which I don't think I've ever done in a group setting before). We were also on the worship team (keyboard and tambourine)! Uncle Peter asked me to say grace in Mandarin (I've never prayed in Mandarin before), so I had to put together a 'cheat sheet' of what I wanted to pray translated, haha. It was a day of being stretched. Oh, Aunt Mary bought a waffle maker, and we made waffles and eggs for breakfast for two days, DELICIOUS!

Wow, what an exciting trip already! What a striking difference being a missionary in Arizona as opposed to NYC. I'm really proud of you, you just jumped right in!
By the way, we MISS you!
Praying for you,
gina & philip
my mandarin prayer before dinner would be "sieh sieh zwhoo, gae woh munh sih woo!" hahaha
love you!
