Go Suns!

I took Uncle Peter to see the Phoenix Suns game versus the Cavs on Sunday. It was a great game! The arena was pretty packed (unlike the Nets arena, haha), and the fans were really into it, except for a bunch of teenagers sitting in the row behind us who were cheering for the Cavs. We won, and because we scored at least 99 points, we each got 2 free tacos from Jack in the Box and a large fries from McDonald's. What a great marketing idea! They know we'd feel bad about just walking in with coupons and walking out with 2 free tacos, and that we'd most likely end up spending more money there. And they are right, the 2 free tacos are 99 cents, and my uncle bought a combo meal (which is like $5) and I bought an order of curly fries (which were $2). These marketing people know how to run a business. The Suns arena is awesome, we walked right out of the building after the game and there was no people traffic and no cars traffic, what a difference compared with NYC/NJ! The architects knew what they were doing when they designed the arena. It was a great night to watch the game, they were honoring the founder of the Suns, and Charles Barkley, Dan Majerle, Kevin Johnson were all there for the halftime ceremony. I used to love the Suns when they were playing, I cannot believe how long ago that was, wow. I'm really dating myself here, haha!

Across the street from the arena, isn't the sunset gorgeous?

The dramatic introduction of the Suns players, with fire and all ....

The crazy gorilla....
