Last Saturday, I went with Uncle Peter and his friends who were visiting from Long Island to Sedona, about a two hour drive from Phoenix. Wow, it is such a beautiful place! I don't think I've ever seen such amazing rock formations and red dirt! I highly recommend a long weekend trip here. We were only there for a few hours and there is so much more to see! We went hiking in Redrock State Park and stopped on the road a few times to take in the views. It was SO awesome. I'm taking my parents there when they come to visit in December. And I think I want to come back someday and stay in Sedona for like a week in a bed and breakfast or something. I thought it would be an amazing place to get married at. Just think of all the great scenic backgrounds! Well, I guess a long white gown with a train would be out of the question, haha! Here are some 'highlight' photos, enjoy!
This is Bell Rock, for obvious reasons. Looks can be deceiving though, it seems like an easy climb and I've heard that many people attempt it, but once they get to the top, they call for help cuz they're afraid to come back down!
Uncle Peter's friends took us to a restaurant called Reds, the food was SO delicious!
Imagine waking up with this view outside your window!
Uncle Peter the bodyguard, haha! Actually we were trying to hide the telescope :)
We walked across a small bridge in the park, and as we were nearing it, we could hear the sound of running water from the creek! I can't remember the last time I've heard that sound. It is surprisingly peaceful and soothing, I can probably fall asleep right next to it (minus the bugs).
The view from the car as we were leaving. Goodbye Sedona! See you again soon!
