A famous chain in Asia known for its buns and dumplings, with stores in Taiwan, Singapore, China, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Japan, Australia and California, how cool is that?! They allow you to watch the chefs make the food, it's amazing how quickly and meticulously they work! There are so many of them in the kitchen, it really is like an assembly line. Apparently each dumpling has to be made of a certain weight and size. The servers are highly efficient and extremely polite, which is a rare find at the average restaurant in Taiwan, also perhaps why their food is more expensive than most dumpling places and the lines are out the door!
See the black thing at the bottom of the picture? That's a scale to weigh a randomly selected ball of dough to make sure it 'passes' the weight requirement.
The food was SO good. Their soup dumplings were perfect, you can pick them up with chopsticks without them breaking. I think I had the best chicken soup EVER in my entire life at this place. The chicken was so tender that it fell off the bones, and the soup, wow, so flavorful. I highly recommend it if you get the chance to go.
