Taipei Subway

The subway system was built just in the last ten years, I can't believe how fast they got it up and running! It's so clean and modern. And you're not allowed to eat or drink on the trains. They also have these really nice shopping areas underground that connects to the subway stations, so you can just hang out underground all day, I guess it makes sense given there is so much traffic above ground and Taipei is running out of space! It's scary to cross the streets here, there are cars and scooters coming at you from all directions, and most will not stop for pedestrians! I think I'll stick to the subway system as much as possible. It's so easy to navigate, and we've never had to wait for more than a couple of minutes for the trains. Oooo and the trains are smooth! They don't squeak and they don't jolt or sway hardly at all, so it's easy to keep your balance without holding on to anything.
