Birthday Dinner at Kittichai

I'd been to Kittichai once before a couple of years ago. I'd always wanted to go back because not only was the food mouthwatering delicious, but its presentation was appealing and the atmosphere was upscale but cozy and warm. So for me and Tina's birthday (we're only 3 days apart), we went to Kittichai and had family style Thai food. The portions were so huge we couldn't even finish everything.

The fish up close. This was so good.

This was tuna tartar - isn't the presentation unique?!

Thanks girls for such a fun birthday dinner! So Tina tries to set her friends up on occasion with these semi-random people whom she doesn't know very well. She hasn't tried with me because I wouldn't consider anyone who wasn't Christian. So on this night, she starts describing this guy that she met through like 4 degrees of connections. She rattled off about 3 things about him (nationality, height, looks) - then she goes, AND he's a 'BEACON'!!! and as she said it, she whips her head so she's facing me. At first, I was like, a beacon of what?! And then we all fell over laughing, and we're like, Tina don't you mean, a DEACON?! I love Tina - she's so funny. Another great evening with the girls :)
