Lisa and John's Christmas Party

A couple of weekends ago, John and Lisa hosted a White Elephant Gift Exchange party at John's place. Lots of finger foods, wine, good company and laughter - I had so much fun. I think every person brought a bottle of wine, haha! We got to meet some of John's friends and Lisa and June's (twin sister) middle school friend. Can you imagine still being friends with your middle school friends? That's pretty rare.



















Each person brought a wrapped gift and we drew numbers to determine the order of gift opening!























June: Hmmm ... what shall I pick? Let's hope I don't get something like a Homer chia pet. LOL.


















So yeah, June picked the Homer chia pet. It was hilarious. Then when it's John's turn, he steals it from June, look how happy he is, hahaha. Lisa yells at him because she wanted him to steal the wine glasses. LOL. But John is still happy he has the Homer chia pet. I guess Lisa forgave him because a week later - John PROPOSED!!!! He planned an amazingly thoughtful and sweet evening. So yes, they are now engaged. I am SO happy for them!!! :)


















So now June gets to pick another gift. And of all the gifts, she picked these cleaning slippers with microfiber on the bottom so you can clean your house while you walk around. LOL. Ann and Jenny are the two who brought the Homer chia pet and slippers which is why they're hysterical.


















Jenny got a fancy wine opener. Seriously, it's a wine opener.

















I ended up with a 24 DVD but I convinced John's friend to switch with me. He got fancy chocolate to make hot chocolate with. What guys sit around making hot chocolate together?! I think it was a fair exchange :)

I love my girls. I can't believe we've known each other for 10 years. I'm so thankful that we're all in the city together and have stayed in touch all these years. Thank you to Lisa and John for hosting such a great party.
